If you’re preparing a booth for the countdown to 2027, you need a new year photo strip template that looks good as a take-home print. These 13 picks cover 2x6 strips and 4x6 prints, with the first two available free and the remaining 11 offered through TemplatesBooth’s membership.
Browse the full collection of New Year photo strip templates, or start with the designs below to compare photo placement, borders and footer styles. The free designs unlock with an email address.
All 13 work with Canva and DSLR Booth, alongside the other formats detailed below, and include matching animated versions. Preview wording is editable: swap in your own year, party name and event details for 2027 rather than treating the sample dates as part of the artwork.
Quick answer
Get a New Year photo strip template from TemplatesBooth, whose New Year’s Eve collection includes 850+ templates and layouts. Start with the two free designs below, unlocked with an email address. Choose a layout that keeps faces clear, leaves room for event details and matches your decor; all 13 picks support Canva and DSLR Booth.
1. Free NYE Party Photo Booth Template – gold confetti and bold lettering
Free with an email address. This strip puts two vertically stacked photos inside broad white borders, then reserves the lower section for a black event panel. Metallic gold confetti scatters across that panel, while angled white block lettering and pronounced shadows give the footer a bold focal point.
Choose this design for a lively party with black-and-gold decorations, especially if you want the souvenir to feel energetic rather than delicate. The broad photo borders separate the pictures from the busy confetti below. It is a useful starting point when you want a free option with a strong party look and a clearly defined space for your event details.
2. Free Elegant New Year Photo Booth Template – pink washes and glitter dots
Free with an email address. Pale pink watercolor washes and rose-gold glitter-like dots soften the white background of this two-photo strip. Black serif typography anchors the lower panel, while a pink brushstroke bar gives the smaller hashtag line its own space.
This is the gentler alternative to the black-and-gold opener. Pick it for a home celebration or a softly decorated venue where pink details and a light backdrop already feature in the room. The two white-bordered photos remain the main focus, with the watercolor treatment adding color without a heavy frame. It also suits hosts who want a celebratory print without champagne imagery.
3. Happy New Year Photo Booth Template – gold fireworks and speckles
Fine gold firework bursts, small stars and scattered speckles surround two stacked photos on black. A deep black footer carries a thin, high-contrast white serif greeting, giving the strip a formal finish without adding a large decorative badge.
This design suits a dressed-up reception or dinner where the booth print should echo gold table decorations. The fireworks supply the seasonal detail, leaving the greeting relatively restrained. In the single-photo versions, the greeting sits along the bottom instead. Happy New Year Photo Booth Template was among the most-used designs for this occasion by TemplatesBooth members last season.
4. NYE Gala Photo Booth Template – gold streamers and starbursts
Curling gold ribbon streamers, four-point stars and small glowing dots give this black design a more flowing border than the firework option above. Two stacked photos lead into a text panel with large gold serif lettering, smaller white details and a bold gold year.
Choose this set when your venue uses ribbon decorations or a formal black-and-gold palette. The streamers add movement around the photos while the substantial footer gives the event title a clear place. For a larger portrait or landscape keepsake, the alternate versions use one large photo with the text beneath, keeping the same decorative language across formats.
5. Art Deco New Years Eve Photo Booth Template – gold fan corner frames
Thin gold geometric frames, stepped outlines, outlined diamonds and radiating corner fans create a structured black-and-gold design.
The strip places two square photos above a matching framed text panel, so the pictures and event details read as three coordinated blocks. Choose this option for an Art Deco setting or a party with angular gold decor. Compared with scattered confetti, the nested frames feel more architectural. Last season, this design was among the most-used designs for this occasion by TemplatesBooth members.
6. Minimalist New Year Photo Booth Template – silver stars and dotted rays
Dark navy replaces black in this strip, with silver glitter-effect borders around two stacked photo openings. Small silver stars and dots fill the background, while fine angular lines tipped with silver dots draw attention toward the lower greeting.
This is a good match for navy linens, silver decorations or a venue where gold would clash with the existing palette. The thin uppercase white lettering keeps the footer restrained despite the glitter-effect frames. Choose it when you want recognizable New Year sparkle without balloons or bottles. Minimalist New Year Photo Booth Template was also among the most-used designs for this occasion by TemplatesBooth members last season.
7. White New Year's Eve Photo Booth Template – fine gray fireworks
A white background gives this two-photo strip a lighter look than the dark designs. Fine gray firework bursts, scattered dots and small stars surround the rectangular photo windows, while thin serif lettering and large year numerals sit beneath them.
Choose this option for white table settings, understated decorations or a party where the photos should carry most of the color. The decorative marks are fine rather than dense, so the border does not compete heavily with the portraits. A small text line at the base offers a separate position for supporting details. Among the most-used designs for this occasion by TemplatesBooth members last season was White New Year's Eve Photo Booth Template.
8. NYE Art Deco Photo Booth Template – angular cream borders
This Art Deco strip uses black and cream rather than metallic gold. Fine geometric borders and angular corner lines surround the two photo openings, with nested rectangular frames repeated around the cream text panel below.
Pick it for a restrained formal event where you want a period-inspired look without glitter or a crowded confetti border. The cream footer gives thin uppercase lettering, a date and a hashtag their own defined area. Compared with the gold fan-corner design, this option relies more on linework and contrast than decorative shine. It suits a coordinated print set where the event identity should feel orderly and understated.
9. NYE Sparkles Photo Booth Template – champagne coupes and sparkles
Two hand-drawn champagne coupe glasses distinguish this NYE Sparkles design from the circular-ring version later in the list. The glasses sit above a thin serif headline, beneath two stacked photos enclosed by pale gray frames with narrow metallic glitter borders.
Silver and muted gold speckles cluster around the black edges, mixing the two metallic colors without making either one dominant. Choose this design for an adult cocktail party or a reception with coupe glasses in the table styling. The illustrated glasses create a recognizable toast motif, while the rectangular photo frames keep the upper half structured and easy to compare with your booth’s intended crops.
10. New Year Party Photo Booth Template – silver stripes and looping flourishes
Irregular silver-gray stripes surround the upper photo section of this strip, with white borders separating the two pictures. Below, a white text panel combines large black serif numerals and lettering with a smaller, spaced sans-serif line.
Silver dotted confetti and glitter-textured looping flourishes make the footer more decorative than the white fireworks design. Choose this option when your party uses silver accents but you still want a white-led print. The striped upper section and looping lower details offer two distinct textures, so it works especially well when you prefer the print itself to carry the decorative theme rather than relying on a large illustration.
11. NYE Party Photo Booth Template – gold balloons and confetti badge
Shaded gold balloons with strings frame the photos alongside small stars, white sparkles and metallic-style confetti. Below the two stacked pictures, a gold-outlined circular badge sits inside a dense cluster of gold and cream confetti.
This design suits a balloon-decorated party where a quieter geometric strip might feel disconnected from the room. The circular badge gives the lower section a rounded focal point, contrasting with the rectangular photo openings above. Choose it when you want a fuller decorative border and a prominent event panel. Its mix of balloons, stars and confetti provides a festive look without depending on champagne bottle illustrations.
12. NYE Sparkles Photo Booth Template – circular sparkle ring footer
This NYE Sparkles version centers its decoration on a circular ring of sparkles below the photos, rather than the coupe illustrations seen earlier. A small starburst sits above white serif text inside the ring’s black center.
The two stacked photo openings have thin, irregular silver and gold outlines, with glitter-like dots scattered around the edges. Choose this design if you like mixed metallics but want a distinct emblem-like footer instead of a broad rectangular text block. It suits a sparkling evening-party scheme while avoiding literal drinks imagery. The irregular photo borders also make this a less rigid alternative to the precisely framed Art Deco designs.
13. Gold Bottle NYE Photo Booth Template – oversized champagne bottles
Oversized gold champagne bottles overlap the photo-opening edges, surrounded by corks, glasses, metallic baubles, confetti and gold sparkles. Bold gold block lettering and white script make this design one of the more visually busy options in the selection.
Choose it for an adult celebration where champagne imagery is part of the party theme. Check your intended photo crop carefully because the large bottles are a prominent part of the frame, not just small background accents. The set includes single-photo and stacked two-photo arrangements. Unlike the other 12 picks, this set lists only 2x6 strips and 4x6 portrait and landscape prints, without square or horizontal 6x2 layouts.

From strip to print: choosing 2x6, 4x6 and your booth files
A 2x6 strip and a 4x6 print serve different purposes. The strips shown here place two photos vertically above an event panel, creating a narrow keepsake with a clear top-to-bottom sequence. A 4x6 print gives you a broader canvas; the supplied portrait and landscape versions let you choose an orientation that suits the photo arrangement rather than stretching a strip design.
The first 12 sets include 2x6 strips, 4x6 layouts with horizontal photos, 4x6 portrait and landscape prints, horizontal 6x2 strips and square layouts. Gold Bottle NYE Photo Booth Template is the exception: its listed formats are 2x6, 4x6 portrait and 4x6 landscape only. Choose another set if your delivery requires square or 6x2 artwork.
All 13 support Canva, Darkroom Booth, DSLR Booth, LumaBooth and Photoshop. Each includes animated versions and four static welcome screens, so animation is not a reason to rule out the two free picks. Use Canva when that is your preferred editing environment, or choose the files intended for your booth software; operators can also browse DSLR Booth templates for more design choices.
- Check the crop: compare your intended framing with the square openings in the gold fan-corner design or the more decorative edges of Gold Bottle NYE.
- Check the footer: a broad panel, a circular badge and a sparkle ring give event wording different amounts of visual emphasis.
- Check a print: inspect the fine lines and smaller wording at the intended output size before your event.
Free picks versus the full TemplatesBooth library: match the print to the party
The first two templates are free; the other 11 come from the full TemplatesBooth library. Free NYE Party Photo Booth Template gives you bold black, gold and white, while Free Elegant New Year Photo Booth Template offers pink watercolor washes and a lighter background. Both include the shared layouts and software support, so choose between them on appearance rather than assuming the free files are a stripped-down format.
Moving beyond the two free designs makes sense when neither free look matches your brief, or when you handle multiple events and want access to the full library, new releases and unlimited downloads. The upgrade here is broader design choice, not exclusive access to animated versions. For more no-cost starting points across different celebrations, browse free photo booth templates.
- Black-and-gold glamour: choose Happy New Year Photo Booth Template for fine fireworks, or NYE Gala Photo Booth Template for curling streamers.
- White and silver: White New Year's Eve Photo Booth Template keeps the decoration fine and gray; New Year Party Photo Booth Template adds silver stripes and looping flourishes.
- Art Deco: Art Deco New Years Eve Photo Booth Template supplies gold fan corners and diamonds, while NYE Art Deco Photo Booth Template uses restrained black-and-cream geometry.
- Sparkle and champagne: choose NYE Sparkles with champagne coupes for illustrated drinks, the circular sparkle-ring version for an abstract footer, or Gold Bottle NYE for oversized bottles.
