Cheeky elf character illustrations for Christmas design work.
Today's freebie is a set of fun & friendly Christmas Elves, an ideal resource for the festive season. Better still, these Santa's helpers have a pretty cool story to them, which I'll get to below.
As our number of members grows significantly of late, we've mostly been releasing premium resources. In order to keep the site online, I feel it's important to keep those who support our work satiated with new design resources.

With that said, though, DCandies was built on freebies. And in lieu of the Christmas spirit, I figured it's about time share some gifts in the form of new freebies.
And these free elf vectors couldn't come at a better time: the festive season is right on our doorstep!
The backstory on these Elves:
My good friend's 16 year old kid here in Thailand loves drawing. Whenever you see him, rather than being nose down in Facebook or Instagram, he's nose down in his sketch pad.
It's his dream to become an anime artist and perhaps even work in animation. So recently, as I've seen his skills progressing, I thought I'd give him his first ever freelance job – and these are the result!
You can see the original sketches he provided above. These were then converted to the finished vectors by King, who is our Illustrator over at BrandPacks (our other site).
I think the results are wonderful, but I'd like to hear from you: Should I hire him to make more hand-drawn illustrations for DesignerCandies? Let me know in the comments below!

Wow I love thIs kid’s style! Great creativity in his chosen elf expressions. He is very talented. Quick, someone give this kid a scholarship to art school and an internship in LA.

O.M.G.! Finally, the elf I have been looking for! Love the ears, the proportions, and oh those anime eyes! You are a sweetheart for giving him this exposure and a chance to do what he loves. There are a lot of vultures out there though, and I am worried your generous sharing of this freebie will be taken advantage of. So many blogger that I know have had this happen with their work. Please teach him how to protect his work while still being able to offer it as a freebie. Freebies are a great way for both new and seasoned talents to get exposure.
