You know whats infinitely better than a static brick texture? A set of 15 100% seamless patterns!
From flyers and posters to banners and websites, we've all at some point had a project that calls for high quality stone and brick textures. They're a designer's staple, just like wood textures, and once again we've decided to upgrade them.
In general stone textures are perfect for adding subtle grime to your work, and bricks make great backgrounds. But sometimes the size of the texture can be an issue. So we've done what we do and turned static stone textures into completely seamless patterns.
Admittedly, these patterns are far more suitable for use as backgrounds than adding subtle grime to your work, but they're nonetheless useful. A good stone or brick texture will be used over and over again, and these now patterns are no exception.

As with any design, contrast is a key ingredient. Mixing flat design elements with realistic brick or stone patterns like these is a great way to balance your work. And with these patterns, you now have another very easy way to do it.
But these patterns can also be highly complementary.
As you can see with the featured image of this post, I have used two separate patterns and blended them together. Using masks, I cut around edges of one pattern and applied a second pattern in the gaps. This can enhance the realism of the patterns by adding patches of inconsistency – so make sure you give it a try.
I hope you enjoy these stone & brick patterns, please let me know in the comments if you find them useful 🙂
